Beginning May 3, 2023, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of ID to fly (including domestic flights). Check your license to see if you have the gold star in the upper right corner.

Yes, you can pay your property taxes and also your tangible taxes online. And if you pay them before the end of the year you get a discount! Save yourself some time, save yourself a stamp (and potential of delayed mail with the holidays) and pay online. Also, if you pay by eCheck there is no convenience fee! How do I apply for Homestead exemption?
You may apply for homestead exemption by calling the Property Appraiser’s office at (813) 272-6100 or by visiting their website at hcpafl.org.

I need to renew my tag. What do I need to bring in and can I send someone else in to renew my tag for me?
To renew your tag, please bring in your current renewal notice or registration, proof of Florida insurance (card, binder or insurance affidavit completed by vehicle owner) and payment (cash, check, money order, debit/credit card). You may send someone else to renew your tag.

I just paid off my vehicle. How can I obtain my FL Title?
You may obtain your title by visiting one of our branches or by visiting Tokidoki unicorno bundle lot to have DHSMV print your title. The fee will be $10.00 for a same day title or $2.50 for a title received through the mail.

I need to update my address on my driver license but, I do not have any bills in my name. What can I use?
If you do not have any documents under your name, you may provide two proofs of residential address from a parent, step-parent, legal guardian or other person with whom you reside and a Certification of Address form.

If my license is suspended can I still renew my registration?
Many suspensions will prevent you from renewing your registration. To find out what you need to clear your suspension, you may call our office at (813) 635-5200.

I lost my driver license/ID card how can I order a replacement?
If you are REAL ID compliant, you may visit any one of our branches to obtain a replacement. If you are not REAL ID compliant, you will need to bring required documents before getting your replacement. Please visit What to Bring to see a list of required documents. The fee for a replacement license is $31.25.

I just sold my vehicle what do I do with my tag?
If you are not using your tag on a replacement vehicle, it is recommended that you turn it in by visiting one of our branches. Turning in your plate will prevent your driver license from being suspended.

I just moved to FL what do I need to switch to a FL driver license and FL tag?
To switch to a FL driver license, you are required to pass a vision test. You will need to present primary identification, proof of social security number and proof of residential address. To see what documents are accepted, please visit What to Bring.
To get a FL tag, you will need to present your out-of-state title, valid identification and proof of FL insurance. In addition, you will need a VIN verification on your vehicle. All owners on title must be present when transferring ownership to Florida.

I want to remove someone’s name from my title and registration. How do I do so?
To remove a name, you will need to visit one of our branches. Removing a name requires you to sign as seller and purchaser on your title. A new registration will be printed under your name only. If names are joined by “AND” on the title, both the owner and co-owner must sign as sellers to remove a name.
